"Emotions are lovely. Even if they fall to the negative for a time. The sun will rise again another day. The sadness perhaps never forgotten, but a new day enjoyed in another way. A way that could not have been but for the sadness's existence."

Anne Mallory

"Even the darkest night will end and the sun will rise again." ~ Victor Hugo

You don't have to feel alone any more. Let's explore whatever bothers you and create new solutions together. I believe that the answers to many of life's problems lie within ourselves, and that it is my job to help you find them. Therapy should be tailored to the individual. Together, we will build a foundation of trust with talk therapy and will likely incorporate multiple modalities in designing your treatment plan. I am available for in person counseling for at my office in Lacey, Washington. In addition, and if appropriate, I can provide therapy via telehealth for anyone living in Washington State.

I am a person centered therapist and my style is relaxed and solution focused. I have training in Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) and Emotional Freedom Technique (tapping) and Financial Therapy. I am currently working on a Certificate in Eating Disorders at Lewis and Clark College. I work with women and people age 13 and up who are experiencing depression, anxiety, ADHD, or who are struggling to navigate life transitions. Before we schedule our first appointment, I will offer you a free 15 minute phone call so that you can get a feel for me and we can decided if we will be a good fit.

Hello! My name is Rachel Freer. I received my Master of Arts in Counseling from Saint Martin's University and my BA from the Evergreen State College. I am mom to a teenager who was homeschooled until middle school. I understand the need for and am supportive of a non-traditional educational path.

In my free time I enjoy attending musicals and concerts. I have an extensive collection of vinyl records, crystals, and houseplants. I love a good rainy PNW day - it's a great excuse to curl up on the couch with a cup of coffee and my current knitting project. On non-rainy days you will find me in the garden or sitting outside with a good book.

Counseling is available in person at my Lacey, Wa office or via teleheath for anyone in Washington State. I accept cash at time of service and I ask that you keep a credit card or HSA/FSA card on file for automatic billing after our session.
